Valencia Basket closes a demanding straight of games with its first visit to Bàsquet Girona
Valencia Basket faces its fifth game in ten days to return to Fontajau more than fifteen years later to visit Bàsquet Girona for the first time (Sunday 12, 12:30 p.m., Palau Fontajau-Girona, Movistar Deportes 3) in an Endesa League round 22 game.
The Taronja squad will try to close in a good way a week in which they competed until the end but fell in their two Turkish Airlines EuroLeague clashes on the court of a rival who has won four of their last five home games.
Although there are no precedents for visits to Bàsquet Girona, in their previous visits to this arena against CB Girona, the Taronja team won 12 of the 17 times they visited Fontajau.
Coach Mumbrú will keep the same four absences for this game due to injury as in its game in Madrid: Jaime Pradilla (left shoulder), Kyle Alexander (right ankle) and the long-term injured Sam Van Rossom and Millán Jiménez. In addition, one of the three non-EU players (Harper, Webb III or Rivero) will have to be left out of the roster, so the list will be completed by the youngsters of the LEB Plata team.
The Icelandic point guard Martin Hermannsson, who was already on the roster for Thursday's game in Madrid, could have his first minutes after overcoming his serious left knee injury.
Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position with a balance of 11-10.
